Hi, I'm Ellis. This is Wyatt Auto Detailing.
Mobile car detailing in Bay View and greater Petoskey.
I just turned eighteen. I grew up two blocks from where you probably live. My parents are both from Michigan, and I'm headed to U of M in the fall, so I'm not going far. My brother and I are both Wyatts, and Wyatt Auto Detailing is ours.
Where it started
When I got my first car, it was rough. I mean genuinely rough — faded paint, grime in every crevice, the kind of car people stop noticing because it's never clean. I got to work on it. Two-bucket wash, proper microfiber, real wax. And when I was done, it looked brand new. Not better. New.
That was the moment. I realized how much potential was sitting in every car that never got the right attention. I started doing it for my parents' cars, my friends' cars, anyone who'd let me. Every time I finished a detail, I'd see it — the car people had been driving past without really looking at suddenly became something they were proud of again.
Why we started this business
My brother and I decided to take it further. We're both Wyatts, we both care about doing things right, and we wanted to offer the people in our neighborhood the same thing I'd been doing for years — a real hand detail, done carefully, in your own driveway. Not a tunnel wash. Not a detailer who rushes through six cars a day. Work that actually shows what your vehicle is capable of.
How I think about the work
Every car gets the two-bucket method with grit guards. Microfiber towels are sorted by job and color-coded so nothing that touches a wheel ever touches a panel. Soaps are pH-balanced. Essential finishes with a real spray wax, not aerosol gloss-in-a-bottle. Premium steps up to a machine cut-and-polish and a durable ceramic coat, one panel at a time, with proper inspection lighting before I move on.
Machine polish and ceramic coating are the Premium package. On the lighter packages, I won't machine-polish without talking to you first, and I'll always show you a test spot before I do the whole car.
My promises
- Before-and-after photos every job.
- If something isn't right, I come back and fix it. No charge.
- Pay after the work is done, when you're happy with how the car looks.
- I work in your driveway. I bring everything. You don't need anything but a hose, an outlet, and a spot in the shade.
Where I work
Bay View is free travel. Greater Petoskey area is covered with no fee. Anywhere further out, text me and we'll figure it out.
